Lucius Cary (OBE) is the founder and managing director of Oxford Technology Management Ltd (OTM), the Investment Manager to the Oxford Technology VCTs which have specialised in making and managing investments in start-up technology-based businesses since 1983. Lucius has a degree in engineering and economics from Oxford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.  Lucius led the original investment in Inscentinel in 2001 and has been actively involved with the company ever since.

Ivan Hoo graduated with a BA (Hons) in Material Sciences from the University of Cambridge in 2010. As a fresh graduate, his entrepreneur spirit has led him working on a £100m sea-side resort development project and now a biotechnology firm with an ambition to bring the bees to the front line fighting terrorism.

 

Maxim Rooth

Dr Maxim Rooth has a BSc in Biological and medicinal chemistry and an MSc in Biological chemistry. He went on to specialise in optical biosensors (surface Plasmon resonance, evanescent wave cavity ring down spectroscopy) and completed his PhD in chemistry at Exeter University. He has a thorough knowledge of biosensors, surface chemistry, colloid chemistry and bio-conjugation. Prior to joining Inscentinel he worked as an associate research fellow at the University of Exeter.

Christopher Beale

Christopher's task is to ensure that there are bees available for duty every day of the year. He first kept bees 38 years ago as part of his course at Reading, qualifying to teach in 1973, with horticulture being his main subject. He has been past secretary of the Middlesex Federation of Beekeepers and is the current Chairman of the Pinner & Ruislip branch. Bees are second in interest only to his German Shepherd dogs.

 

Jason Lim
Engineer

Jason Lim obtained his BEng. (Hons), MEng and Ph.D, all in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He worked as a Technical Support Engineer to oversee commercial multi-tenant broadband solution before involved in microwave technologies research and development.  He is a senior member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers  (IEEE). His research interests include microwave antenna and component design, high frequency test and measurement system, bespoke advance automation, electromagnetic interference and 3D electromagnetic simulation.
