Lucius Cary (OBE) is the founder and managing director of Oxford Technology Management Ltd (OTM), the Investment Manager to the Oxford Technology VCTs which have specialised in making and managing investments in start-up technology-based businesses since 1983. Lucius has a degree in engineering and economics from Oxford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.  Lucius led the original investment in Inscentinel in 2001 and has been actively involved with the company ever since.

Stephen James

Stephen James is Institute Secretary of Rothamsted Research and is responsible for the majority of non-science activities there. He is the Director of Rothamsted International Consulting Ltd and Rothamsted Manor Limited. He is ensuring the day to day onsite management of Inscentinel Ltd.
Stephen has a long history of leading research and development teams at industrial leaders such as Wellcome Research Laboratories and CarlBiotech. In 1989 Stephen joined the Chief Scientists Group in MAFF (now DEFRA) and took up his current post at Rothamsted after a period in the Cabinet Office.

Mathilde Briens has been an integral part of Inscentinel since its founding in 2003 and is now the Project Manager. She is a honeybee expert and has been central to the development of Inscentinel's technology, conducting research projects in both the US and UK including many projects on explosives detection. Mathilde is qualified to MBA level ("Institut d'Administration des Entreprises" in Caen) and has a degree in Environmental Sciences and Management from the University Paris VII.

Jenny Jacobs

Jenny Jacobs earned a PhD entitled "Pollination of fruit-bearing hedgerow plants and consequences for birds" from Stirling University in 2008. She has extensive knowledge and experience in entomology and is in charge of the research and laboratory management.

Harry Townshend

Harry Townshend is a graduate of Oxford University where he received a MEng studying Engineering Science. Prior to joining Inscentinel, Harry worked in the financial sector as a Capital Markets Origination analyst. He is focused on exploring Inscentinel's business opportunities.

Alice Mauchline

Alice Mauchline conducted her PhD studies at Rothamsted Research on the "Use of non-host plants as repellents to insect pests of oilseed rape". She has six years post-doctoral experience of ecological research at the University of Reading and is involved with the research and development at Inscentinel.

Gia Aradottir

Gia has completed her PhD on the "Population biology and host selection of the giant willow aphid (Tuberolachnus salignus Gmelin)" from Rothamsted Research and Imperial College London. She has extensive experience in entomological research, having worked at the Natural History Museum and the Icelandic Institute of Natural History, as well as an MSc in Biological Research from Royal Holloway, University of London. She also has experience in the airline industry. Gia is working on research and development at Inscentinel.

Christopher Beale

Christopher's task is to ensure that there are bees available for duty every day of the year. He first kept bees 38 years ago as part of his course at Reading, qualifying to teach in 1973, with horticulture being his main subject. He has been past secretary of the Middlesex Federation of Beekeepers and is the current Chairman of the Pinner & Ruislip branch. Bees are second in interest only to his German Shepherd dogs.
